ABOUT ME

Aidan Collett is an actor and director with work spanning stage and screen. He acknowledges his East Coast upbringing as being a formative time for his performing arts passions.

Moving to Los Angeles to study Film Production and Theater Arts at Loyola Marymount University, Aidan became acquainted with Shakespeare, Meisner, Stanislavski, and Hagen acting techniques while developing a unique style as a film director. His films and acting favor a cynical realism, as seen in his short films In My Name and To Sea and in stage roles like Victor Frankenstein with Burlington County Footlighters. Working with The Del Rey Players at LMU, Aidan stepped behind the curtain after roles on stage to work in management. After graduating, Aidan's involvement with Downtown Repertory Theater Company has found city-wide praise in the LA Times and theater blogs.

In addition to work in film and theater, Aidan is a trained pianist as well as a classical, musical theater, and jazz baritone. He has composed music for his short films, and he continues to sing in the styles of Sinatra and other crooners of the time. Aidan's inclination towards music pervades all work he does across the arts.
